Animal Place 2008 Calendar of Events |
Every year, we open our barn doors to the public, so that you can meet the animals and staff who make Animal Place what it is today. Farm tours are offered on specified Saturdays and typically last two hours. Animal activist training classes are great for individuals looking to learn more about advocating on behalf of animals. Volunteer orientations are training classes for those who want a more hands-on role at the sanctuary.
Special group tours are available to schools or animal-related groups. If you are interested in visiting the sanctuary with a group, see our School Visit page for more information.
We hope to see you at the sanctuary!
Note: Once you register for an event, we will mail you directions and other pertinent information.

Do you read the "letters to the editor" section in your local paper and wonder how you can write an effective commentary on animal issues?
Do you think lobbying your legislators is just for the big wigs?
Are you wanting to help more animals but don't know how?
If you answered yes to just one of these questions than this is the workshop for you!
Join us for an interactive and informative training session integrating fascinating facts about farmed animals and tools on how you can help!
The workshop covers:
- Effective letter writing
- Legislation
- Tabling
- Leafleting
- Personal ways to help
- And more!
Of course, a tour of the sanctuary is included. Meeting the animals will inspire you on ways to help!
