Gilbert was found 'hog-tied' in a backyard, on a hot day, without food or water, destined to be slaughtered. Although his companion did not survive, Gilbert was able to pull through the horrific condition and is now doing very well. He is still very small for his age and cannot be left out in the pasture without supervision. Gilbert is part of the Foster Parent program.
