Raise $25,000 for the 2012 Rescue Medical Fund!

You did it! You raised $25,000 for the animals’ 2012 Rescue Medical Fund! Between December 15-25th, your donation was matched dollar for dollar up to $8,000…and you came through, raising a little more than $8,000 for a total of $16,000!

Tiffany is the first recipient of your generosity. This past week, she saw the sun for the first time. Tiffany was used for research - for six months, she lived in a 5x5 concrete kennel, never seeing the light of day.

She never knew the company of other pigs or the warmth of a straw bed.

When the research was completed, Tiffany was to be killed.

When we heard about Tiffany, we contacted the out of state laboratory and offered to welcome the pig to our sanctuary. When they agreed, staff loaded up the transport trailer and headed out to pick her up.

The first night, animal caregivers had to show Tiffany how to make a nest in straw. When she figured it out, she gleefully grabbed straw from our hands and made a haphazard nest! It was adorable.

You covered the cost of Tiffany’s transport and her spay. Thank you.
