Gift yourself or someone else a foster parent package of one Animal Place foster animal. You will receive a wallet-sized card with a picture of your sponsored animal, a full-size color photo with your animal's story, a subscription to our Animal Place Magazine...and more importantly, you provide feed, bedding, medical care to your foster animal and others in need.
Sponsoring an animal is easy and makes for a great gift. Just choose from one of the animal ambassadors below! It's only $25.00
Mr. G and Jellybean are the two stars of Animal Place, with their reunion video going viral. Both were rescued from a hoarder. Mr. G was brought to Animal Place, while Jellybean the donkey went to another sanctuary. Mr. G the goat wouldn't eat for 6 days until reunited with Jellybean, proving other animals experience friendship and loss like humans.
Panda is a real survivor! He was burned nearly to death when he was 5-mos-old. He survived but he still face slaughter at the hands of the teenager raising him as a Future Farmers of America "project". A donor intervened, purchased Panda. He is safe and sound at our sanctuary.
Tiny Comb is one of the 4,460 hens we saved from a Turlock egg farm that had left thousands of hens without food and water for more than two weeks.
Dakota and his four brothers were rescued from a free-range turkey farm days before they were slaughtered. They were left on our door-step with a "Happy Thanksgiving" card attached...and boy is Dakota thankful for that! He loves showing off his bright, white plumage and trilling to visitors!
Sassafras is a gentle sweet white turkey hen who was rescued with 12 of her sisters from a hatchery.
Marigold saved herself from becoming a backyard BBQ after she busted out of the yard she was housed in and was found loose by city animal control. Now she enjoys her time playing with her fellow pig friends.
Ella is from a goat dairy farm. She escaped and attempts to capture her failed, so the farm gave up. Ella was befriended by a human mother-daughter team who she learned to trust. We were able to save her from marauding dogs and angry neighbors with the help of the mother and daughter.
Nick was brought to the sanctuary Christmas day, after he was confiscated outside of a Berkeley, Calif. apartment complex. He is a by-product of the dairy industry, unwanted male calves who are sold at auction for as little as $15 and raised for backyard slaughter. Lucky for Nick, we took him in and now he is a healthy, happy bovine!
Crazy Eyes is one amazing hen! She survived a virus as a young hen, which left her with a stilted gait and neurlogical problems (why she has no feathers on her chest). She was exploited for her eggs at a pasture-based farm, then faced slaughter with 1,100 of her sisters! Luckily, we stepped in and saved all of them (most were adopted). Crazy Eyes is part of a group of special needs hens who are permanent residents.
Larisa and nine other rabbits all came from a school that had become a dumping ground for rabbits. The school's grand solution was to hire a sniper to deal with the unwanted bunnies. Lucky for Larisa and friends, rabbit rescues intervened!
Aiden thinks he is a human and hopes you'll sponsor him and his sheep friends! Saved during a thunderstorm, Aiden grew up at the sanctuary and believes himself the leader of the flock. Too bad not all the sheep see it that way!
Ruby the pig was saved from a pasture-based pig farm. The pigs had plenty of space to roam, but runt or sickly pigs are killed the same as on large, industrial farms - by being slammed against the ground. A visitor on a tour heard about this and offered to take in Ruby. She is a spunky pig who enjoys mud-baths and bossing everyone around!
Noah and Cornelius are the troublemakers of the goat herd. Their mom was rescued from a slaughterhouse and gave birth to the twin boys at our sanctuary. They have only known love and adoration...which has gone a bit to their heads!
