Volunteer Program

Pig & foodSo you want to do more with your love of animals? Muck out barns? Assist with running tours? Help with chicken and rabbit health checks? Educate the public through tabling or classes? Play with animals?

Volunteers must go through an orientation, which is listed below. Orientations are offered once a month either on a Saturday or Wednesday. ALL prospective volunteers must participate in an orientation before volunteering at the sanctuary.

Volunteer orientations are held at the Grass Valley location. Volunteer opportunities are currently only available at our sanctuary and education center in Grass Valley.

If you have questions, please contact us at info@animalplace.org

If you are a high school student and wish to volunteer, intern or work through your school, we can offer structured internships. We welcome the opportunity to work with students through California's Workability program.
