Best in Shelter Award

December 10, 2015 – The Union – “Animal Place, California’s oldest and largest farmed animal sanctuary, was named best sanctuary in the nation by Best in Shelter, a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit aimed at raising public awareness of animal shelters and sanctuaries.”

The cage was the human-sized equivalent of cages that five chickens are put in, Bain said.
