Huge news to report!  Animal Place is the proud owner of Berkeley’s only all vegan specialty store, Republic of V. When you shop to feed yourself, you feed the animals at the sanctuary!

Republic of V stocks vegan groceries including locally made gourmet foods, clothing and accessories, beauty and personal care products, home goods, dog and cat foods, books, and other supplies. The specialty shop, the Bay Area’s only vegan food store and one of only a small handful nationwide, first opened in February 2014 at its 1624 University Ave. location by Joe Haptas and Noelle Callahan.

We couldn’t pass up this opportunity to expand our vegan advocacy to the Bay Area and generate revenue to benefit the sanctuary.

So please welcome Animal Place’s Vegan Republic to our flock! The store is an ideal way to extend our message that the single most important action someone can take to help farmed animals is to adopt a vegan diet.

We will be hosting a grand re-opening July 2015! Details will be forthcoming.

And for those of you in the Bay Area, stop by and present the coupon below. You’ll receive $5 off any purchase over $50…a small way to thank YOU for your support!

Location:
1624 University Ave, Berkeley, CA
