DESCRIPTION:Wondering what to do with those leftover Halloween pumpkins? \nJoin us Saturday\, November 8th for an Open Barn\, where you can meet some of our sanctuary residents\, and stay to feed our pigs! \nThis is a free event\, but please register here. Space is limited! \nSchedule: \n\n11:00 AM-1:00 PM: Open Barn\n\nGet up close with some of our rescued friends! \nLong pants and closed-toed shoes are required to visit with the animals.\n\n\n1:30-2:00 PM: Pig Feeding\n\nBYOP (bring your own pumpkin) or just watch the fun!\nPumpkins must be uncarved and unpainted.\n\n\n\nFood for Humans: \n\nFood Vendor: Vegan Circus will be serving up plant-based\, non-GMO versions of your favorite fair foods!\nFood Drive: Want to give back to the community? We’re accepting plant-based\, shelf-stable\, and unexpired goods to be donated to Nevada County Food Bank.\n\nDetails:  \n\nOur liability waiver must be signed before admittance.\nThis is a rain-or-shine event. Please be prepared for weather.

SUMMARY:Public Guided Tour – 11/29 @ 12:00 PM
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our last public tour of the year\, where you will visit with some of the 200+ rescued farmed animal residents who call Animal Place home and hear their stories! You will get to meet goats\, sheep\, and rabbits! Cows and pigs may come up to the fence for treats!  \nPublic guided tour tickets are $20. Your tour will last 1.5 hours and entails about a half-mile of walking on flat pavement\, gravel\, and entering pastures. Our facility is wheelchair accessible\, but there are some rocky/uneven portions of the property. \nTo visit with the animals\, pants and shin-high boots are mandatory (boots are available to borrow at the sanctuary\, but in limited quantities and sizes). Boots provide added protection when interacting directly with the large animals. Socks are not provided\, so please remember to bring your own. We share the property with lots of wildlife\, including rattlesnakes.
