Breaking News! Animal Place is open for *Private Tours!
*At this time the sanctuary is still closed for self-guided and public tours.
Over the past year, the sanctuary has felt a quiet presence without you! The animals have a restlessness about them, looking for people to get pets and extra love from. Our museum has collected dust, and spiders have found a home within it. The parking lot has been empty, besides the cars of our dedicated animal care team members. But change is in the air…
We are excited to announce that after a long year, Animal Place will be welcoming guests back to the sanctuary for private tours! Tours are 1.5 hours and will be available for booking on Fridays and Saturdays for parties of up to 6. At this time, all tour guests must be 12 years old or older.
Out of an abundance of caution and concern for our staff, for the month of June, all private tour visitors must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
All Animal Place staff are fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Epidemiologists generally agree masks are not necessary in an outdoor environment amongst fully vaccinated people. Masks are not required during the private tour for fully vaccinated guests. If a member of your private tour group cannot be vaccinated due to a medical or religious exemption, a face covering must be worn during the entirety of the tour. Animal Place will have one-time-use face masks available to guests.
The animal residents and staff at Animal Place are looking forward to your visit. Come spend time with Belle the goat, Maxwell the pig, Zeke the chicken, and everyone else! Tours can be booked here. We look forward to seeing you!
We offer a variety of tours at the 600-acre sanctuary in Grass Valley, California. Our 12-acre Rescue & Adoption Center, A Project of Animal Place facility in Petaluma, California is not yet open to the public.
