Register Today for the 2021 Farmed Animal Conference E-Summit with Moby!

We are excited to invite you to Animal Place’s Farmed Animal Conference E-Summit (FACES), held August 2-8, featuring more than 20 experts – scientists, journalists, filmmakers, activists, CEOs, and more – plus a special conversation with musician/activist Moby. Register now (it’s free!) at facesummit.org and you’ll get all the details by email.

Your conference registration also includes a ticket to the August 1 virtual premiere of GUNDA, the acclaimed documentary by executive producer Joaquin Phoenix, presented by Plant-Based Network. GUNDA follows the daily lives of a mother pig, two cows, and a chicken, and offers “a mesmerizing perspective on sentience within animal species, normally – and perhaps purposely – hidden from our view,” Phoenix said.

FACES is supported by our generous supporters: makers of the best plant-based cheeses Miyoko’s and meats The Very Good Butchers, by the international hunger relief and food security organization A Well-Fed World, vegan dog food V-Dog, the 30-day program VeganMentor, and VFC, Europe’s latest vegan chicken company (coming to North America by the end of 2021!).

The week will be packed with content on how to make positive change, for animals, our planet, and our bodies. And our speakers are going to share their best advice for building our movement, increasing visibility, and supporting each other. We’re also featuring two-panel discussions about how food companies are making change for farmed animals, from plants and from the laboratory too.

Here are just a few of the fascinating FACES talks: (or pick your faves)

  • Food justice activist John Lewis and “Cowspiracy”/”What the Health” filmmaker Keegan Kuhn join us for a conversation about their explosive new documentary “They’re Trying to Kill Us.” The film exposes nutritional and environmental racism, government corruption, and ultimately gives us hope for how to save the world.
  • If you want to get more active online, and run advocacy campaigns like a pro, don’t miss our talk with activist Nina Jackel, founder and president of Lady Freethinker, a viral platform for activism and news. Learn the most effective online tactics and tools in “Getting the Message Out with Online Activism.”
  • Neuroscientist Lori Marino, founder of the Kimmela Center for Animal Advocacy, draws on decades of research to teach us about the amazing inner lives of chickens. Dr. Marino not only educates us on their complex intelligence, cognition, and social lives, she explains how science proves they deserve our consideration and compassion.

If you want lifetime access to all the talks, or want to watch on your own time, purchase the Summit Pack for a donation of just $67. You won’t only be supporting the 400 animals who call Animal Place home, you’ll also be entered to win a month’s supply of Miyoko’s products. This early bird price will go up in August, so don’t sleep on it.

Before the pandemic, we held the Farmed Animal Conference at our sanctuary, but by bringing it online we’re able to reach even more people. In 2020, more than 2,200 of you joined us! FACES 2021 will be even bigger, so please invite your friends.

I just saw that this happened in August. Is there any way to view the conference? Thank you.

    • Absolutely! Though the time to register for free for the conference has passed, you can still purchase the summit pack at https://facesummit.org/. The package costs a donation of $97- all of which goes directly to animal care and advocacy at the sanctuary- and allows you unlimited access to all conference content for life.
