Due to the increasing concerns surrounding COVID-19, Animal Place has closed the sanctuary to the public as a precautionary measure. This includes visitors at our guest house and visitors for tours and events.
The health and safety of our staff and the general public are of the utmost importance. We are monitoring the situation closely and will open as soon as it is safe to do so. Keep an eye on our website, facebook and Instagram for updates.
Please contact us if you have any questions.
With Compassion,
Kim Sturla
Executive Director

I have 4 adult chickens, 3 austrolorp, and 1americana. I need to send them to your sanctuary, but it’s closed. What can I do? Where else can I take them? Otherwise they’re just going to be put in the cooking pot and eaten by the owner. I’m desperately trying to avoid this please help ASAP
Hi! Are you a part of our facebook group “Farmed Animals Needing Adoption”? This is a great resource for finding loving homes for animals. Unfortunately, it is unlikely that we will be able to accept the animals into our sanctuary, but we can assist you in finding placement. Here is the facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/apfana/

Thank you for looking out for these chickens!
