Join us for our very first Volunteer Meet & Greet Potluck! This event is a great way to connect with Animal Place staff and volunteers, and to learn about volunteering opportunities. You do not need to have volunteered with us before to┬áparticipate – all are welcome! (Attendees must be 18+ years old).

WHEN: Saturday, April 21st, 12-2pm
WHERE: Animal Place’s Main Sanctuary, 17314 McCourtney Rd, Grass Valley

11:30-12:00: Check-In (please arrive before 12:00)
12:00-12:15: Introductions and Brief Overview of Volunteer Opportunities
12:15-1:00: Potluck Lunch
1:00-2:00: Guided Tour of the Sanctuary
2:00-2:15 (Optional): Meet Volunteer Coordinators and Sign-up for Upcoming Orientations

Please bring a dish to share with the group. Out of respect for our residents, we require that all food brought onto sanctuary grounds be 100% plant-based (no animal-derived ingredients including meat, fish, dairy, eggs, honey, gelatin, etc). If possible, please bring your own reusable plate and utensils to reduce waste. If you have any questions about our food policy, or want ideas on what to bring, contact us!

Please wear long pants and closed toe shoes for the guided tour.

If you have any questions about the event, email patti@animalplace.org

I would like to bring my wife to the potluck. She is also interested in volunteering.
