Marji Beach

Marji has been with Animal Place since 2004, first as a volunteer, then animal, before moving into programs and outreach. Marji is currently the Development Director and manages all sources of income, budget development and implementation, fundraising, as well as social media. She oversees the work of our Development Manager and Operations Associate. She created and oversaw our large-scale hen rescue and adoption program for a decade. It was the only program of its kind in the nation and we rescued more than 26,000 chickens from slaughter. She loves photography, reading, creating art with kiddo Iz, and spending time with rescued animals: 18-lb dog-cat Shawn, Spanish podenca Eliza, Mexi-mutts Tobi & Sophie, rescued Kaporos hens Ayla, Tigerlily, Elara, Celena, Calypso, and Luna, as well as rescued betta fish!
