Sonya Sestito

Sonya has always felt a special connection to animals. In 2014, she aligned her actions with her beliefs and became vegan. She grew up near Philadelphia and received a B.S. in Business Administration from La Salle University. In 2022, she moved to California with her partner, Tim, and three dogs to provide a microsanctuary for wildlife and rescued farmed animals. They are currently guardians of 12 rescued animals: two dogs, four guinea pigs, two rabbits, and four rats. Sonya joined Animal Place in 2024 and is honored to be a part of such a compassionate and inspiring team. In her spare time, she enjoys admiring nature, whole food plant-based cooking, veganic gardening, and practicing yoga.
