Hello,

My name is [Your Name] and I am a local resident of [City]. I appreciate all the work [Organization Name] is doing to help animals. However, I will not attend your events because you serve meat and other animal by-products. Why do you serve animals at events to raise funds for different animals? It’s inconsistent with your mission of saving animals. Farmed animals in the food industry suffer tremendously and roughly 10 billion land animals are killed for food each year in the US alone. Our community looks to you to set an example for animal-welfare standards, so it doesn’t make sense for you to support this cruel industry. I ask you to please extend your compassion to all animals by serving only vegan foods at your events and fundraisers.

Animal Place’s Food for Thought Program makes it easy. They will help your organization adopt a board-approved, written policy to serve only vegan or vegetarian food at your events. They will answer your questions and address any concerns you may have. They even offer grant opportunities! Please contact them at [email protected]. Thank you for your consideration!

Your community member,
[Your Name]
